Breathe

So often we find ourselves so busy we almost forget to breathe. So today’s post is a short meditation to focus on that life source – our breath.

Sit comfortably with your back erect or lie down on your back with your hands either across your chest or at your side.

Inhale through your mouth and exhale through your mouth.

Inhale through your nose and exhale through your nose.

Repeat this pattern – first through your mouth and then through your nose – with a count of 7 as you inhale, hold for 1, exhale for 7, hold for 1.

As you breathe, imaging you are creating a clear pathway between your head and your body, promoting the union of the two.

Continue for 2-3 minutes, focusing on the thought, “My mind and body are one.”
