Finding the Words
As a writer, sometimes I struggle to find the right words or topics to share with you. I ask myself, “What would be most relevant or helpful?” This month’s blog finds me in that space and as I was searching for the inspiration I realized that sometimes sharing the words of others who inspire me may also be of value to you, my readers.
This selection of quotes is from the book, Thrive, by Arianna Huffington, in which I found tremendous wisdom and support. (I highly recommend you add it to your reading list!)
For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last It dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~ Fr. Alfred D’Souza
And every day, the world will drag you by the hand, yelling, “This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this!” And each day, it’s up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say, “No. This is what’s important.” ~ Iain Thomas
Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage by considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them; every day the task begins anew. ~ Francis de Sales
Everything changed the day she figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in her life. ~ Brian Andreas
Men (humans) go forth to wonder at the heights of mountains, the extent of the oceans, and the courses of the stars, and omit to wonder at themselves. ~ St. Augustine
I would love to hear which ones spoke to you or inspired you.

and this one
“Men (humans) go forth to wonder at the heights of mountains, the extent of the oceans, and the courses of the stars, and omit to wonder at themselves.” ~ St. Augustine
