Take a Breath

You are rushing around, trying to get everything done. Pressure is mounting. What do you do? Take a breath. It is time to pause and refresh yourself. Here are a few ideas: Take Two – two minutes to do a neck roll, water some plants – and while your at it “water” yourself. Stay hydrated. Take ten deep breaths – inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Stand up and stretch. Or just change your focal point – look out a window instead of at your computer or phone screen. You might not think two minutes is much of a respite, but you might be surprised. Take Five – five minutes to clear out clutter that may have accumulated around you, it will clear your thinking. Turn on your favorite song and dance. “Get Up Off of That Thing” by James Brown is a great one to get you moving. Change is one of the best ways to revive. Take Ten – ten minutes to take a short walk, get out in the fresh air and sunshine. Read or meditate. Write a note to a friend. Clean out a “junk” drawer. A change of pace and scenery will give you renewed energy. And now it’s time for me to get up and get moving! until next time…
