Time to Reset

by | Jan 8, 2019

Now that we have made it through the holiday season, and I hope you did find some peace along the way, it is time to reset our thinking and intentions for 2019.

I was never really committed to New Year’s resolutions, especially in the way they get communicated through marketing. It’s always seemed to be a judgement on past behaviors and an weak attempt to resolve to do better. All the dieting and exercising ads start right after Christmas, seeming to chastise us about our holiday meals. I am willing to look back at the past year and learn from my experiences but going into a new year shouldn’t just be about where we think we have failed.

So, let’s look at resetting our thinking on how we move into the New Year. What is it that you hope to achieve this coming year and how will you reset your mind to move towards those goals? I am working through a great program with Mel Robbins ( www.melrobbins.com ) and love her approach. So, I invite you to join in and see what a difference we can make in 2019.

Words of Wisdom for a New Year

“May Light always surround you;
Hope kindle and rebound you.
May your Hurts turn to Healing;
Your Heart embrace Feeling.
May Wounds become Wisdom;
Every Kindness a Prism.
May Laughter infect you;
Your Passion resurrect you.
May Goodness inspire
your Deepest Desires.
Through all that you Reach For,
May your arms Never Tire.”
D. Simone

“And now let us believe in a long year that is given to us, new, untouched, full of things that have never been, full of work that has never been done, full of tasks, claims, and demands; and let us see that we learn to take it without letting fall too much of what it has to bestow upon those who demand of it necessary, serious, and great things.”
Rainer Maria Rilke

Until next time…
