Use Your Imagination
Imagination: 1. a creative ability.; 2. the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality; 3. the ability to confront and deal with problems.
Did you know that the right side of your brain is responsible for imagination, dreams, and intuitive thoughts? Most people use their left side more often as it focuses on logic, reason, and facts. Those who use both sides have better memories and intellectual abilities.
Here’s how you can boost your imagination…
- Create a visual journal. Either with your own drawings or pictures you cut out. Try to do a daily entry.
- Listen to classical music. Bach is one that has shown to stimulate the brain. Or listen music in the sounds of nature.
- Play word games. Crossword puzzles can give your brain a boost.
And here are a few wise words on imagination…
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” ~Albert Einstein
“Imagination is the eye of the soul.” ~Joseph Joubert
“To imagine the unimaginable is the highest use of imagination.” ~Cynthia Ozick
“The world is but a canvas to our imagination.” ~Henry David Thoreau
Where will you let your imagination take you today?
until next time…
